Definitions

Sullied hero

1.)  One example of a sullied hero is Piggy from Lord of the Flies. Piggy is an example of a sullied hero because he is the hero everyone is rooting for and pulling for because he is not treated great. Everyone feels for him.

2.) Another example of a sullied hero is Willy Loman from Death of a Salesman. Willy Loman is an example of a sullied hero because he is the character people feel for because he is going through a rough time and ends up committing suicide.

Common Man hero

1.) One example of a common man hero is Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird. Atticus is a common man here because he has a good clean reputation in society from helping those less fortunate and doing the right thing even if not everyone understands why.

2.) Another example of a common man hero is Juliet from Romeo and Juliet. Juliet is an example of common man hero because she has a forbidden love but doesn't tell anyone about it so she can keep her clean reputation to society. 

Protest literature

1.) One example of protest literature is To Kill a Mockingbird because Atticus Finch defends an African American man who he know is innocent but no one else believes is. 

2.) Another example of protest literature is Romeo and Juliet because Romeo an Juliet are in love but are not supposed to be together because of family history but anybody should be able to marry who they want.

Allegory

1.) To Kill a Mockingbird is an allegory for the saying don't judge a book by its cover because everyone judged who Atticus was defending but it turned out he really was innocent. 

2.) Romeo and Juliet is an allegory for loving whoever you want whether or not it's approved of.

Archetypes

1.) Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird is an archetype of a good lawyer not showing any discrimination.

2.) Biff from Death of a Salesman is an archetype for a typical teenage by who makes mistakes while growing up.
